Ride Smart

Project Category:  Our Vehicles

Ride Smart is a program offered by New Hope Community Bikes that is designed to develop practical lifelong skills through safe cycling for students in grades 4-7. Ride Smart can teach a student to ride a bike for the first time through their engaging and interactive workshops. The program is based on two reputable sources: CAN-Bike, the national standard for safe cycling programs, and the Guide to Ride curriculum created by Physical and Health Education Canada. It is also fully self-contained, so students just need to bring themselves! New Hope will provide the bikes, helmets, instructors, resource materials, and even the obstacles needed to set up different scenarios.
